This is a prayer/ardaas for you, vaddemamaji (my mother’s uncle). A great soul who passed away this Friday. A great soul I will miss immensely. I will always be thankful for being more connected with you the past two years.Though he came barehanded from Pakistan during partition, with his family, he slowly reached great heights with hardwork and his sincere personality. Reaching great heights without having a sense of mine, and helping others whenever they were in need, he set an example of a good deed. After retiring as a vice chancellor at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, he continued to do sewa and his admirers increased far-far. Last year he got paralysis disease, but in 1 1/2 year the disease was ceased. Oh Waheguru, bless him and make him Yours, release him from the circle of reincarnation, and let him be Your Resource. During the paralysis he couldn’t move from his bed without assistance, but his resolution gave him a lot of resistance. He couldn’t eat properly nor speak properly, he was longing to start doing his daily issues correctly. In his weakest moment he went to Hemkund Sahib in spirits to beg for recovery – “Waheguruji, I am nothing, I have done a lot of mistakes. I am just a fool. But You are the Great Giver, You are filled with forgiveness. You have saved many fools. Please, save this fool too. I am only a beggar at Your Door”. He cried and cried and made his body sore, he wanted not a life like this anymore. Oh Waheguru, bless him and make him Yours, release him from the circle of reincarnation, and let him be Your resource One day he also begged to mata Bhani ji – “Dear mother, you were blessed. Your father was a Guru, your son was a Guru and you were married to a Guru. Please bless me. Please forgive”, and just three days later he learned to live. Without assistance, he could stood up from his bed, and his eyes turned red. From this incidence he recovered day by day, he could walk, eat and show the way. He wasn’t allowed to travel any distance, but yet he went from Ludhiana to Harmandir Sahib to do parkarma without any hesitance. His feet was burned because of the warm marble floor, but this didn’t stop him from bending towards Gurus door. After recovery his early mornings were spent on meditation and praying, and he met people around him with smiles and caring. Each day he was thankful and gave this advice – “Everything is Gurujis Kirpa. It doesn’t matter when death comes. What matters is that we should remember God every moment”. Wahegurujis Hukam was that he had to leave us last Friday, but that doesn’t mean we will forget him in any way. His humble attitude and loving smile, made us all sad when we had to say good-bye Oh Waheguru, bless him and make him Yours, release him from the circle of reincarnation, and let him be Your Resource.
